For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”
And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place … knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
2 Peter 1:19-21
“How from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
2 Timothy 3:15-17
Do you want to understand the Bible better? We can help!
We have only one way to know and understand God’s plan for our lives and His desire for our worship, and that is through studying the word of God, preserved for us in the Bible. Through divinely guided writers and prophets, God has left us the only tool we need in order to know His mind and His character.
Our goal in every class, and every worship service, is to build our knowledge and understanding of the scriptures. We believe they are the inspired word, written by some 40 authors over approximately 1,500 years of time, and yet still including a consistent and singular theme throughout: God’s deliverance is coming!
With 66 books written at different times with different purposes to different audiences, the Bible can be an intimidating read. We would be glad to help you study it and understand its message further. We can provide a number of learning opportunities:
- Group Bible studies before our regular worship assembly
- Private studies individually or in groups
- Local Bible study “meetups” around the community
- Correspondence courses and instruction
- Skype or teleconference discussions and studies
Whatever your preference, we’d be happy to read with you, study with you, and pray with you. Email us at kcocalabama@gmail.com for more details.
