Who are we?
We are a group of Christians, doing our best to follow the pattern of life and worship found in the Bible as practiced by the first disciples. Our focus in everything we do is to glorify God and His son, Jesus, while encouraging each other to live lives characterized by love and good works. Our worship is simple:
- Singing songs of praise and encouragement
- Praying together
- Sharing in the Lord’s Supper
- Listening to reading of scripture and lessons from the Bible
- Collecting funds from members (not visitors!) for our collective work
We meet every Sunday morning starting with Bible classes for all ages at 9:30, followed by our worship service at 10:30. We meet back in the afternoon at 5 p.m. for about an hour. The main difference in our morning and evening services is that in the evening, instead of the Lord’s Supper, we have a scripture reading.

What to expect if you visit our worship service
As a visitor, all you have to do is show up! We’re glad to have you, and aside from filling out a visitor’s card (which is voluntary), we won’t ask anything from you other than to maintain an attitude of reverence during the worship.
You can find information on our location and times of worship here.
Morning worship services
After a brief period of announcements, we’ll be led in a prayer. We’ll sing a couple of songs (no instruments or bands – we just sing!), take up our collection from the members, and then share in the Lord’s Supper, which is also referred to as “Communion.” All members of the Lord’s church are welcome to share first unleavened bread – which to us represents the Lord’s body and its sacrifice for our sins – and then the cup, which is referred to as “fruit of the vine” in the scriptures. (It’s grape juice.) This represents the blood of the “New Covenant” – which is the fellowship that all believers share in Jesus.
After the Lord’s Supper, we’ll be led in another song, followed by a lesson from the Bible. All of our lessons are based around understanding the scriptures better, whether it be an application to our daily lives, an explanation of a character or event in the Bible, or a deeper explanation of some element of our faith designed to help us grow closer to God and to each other.
After the lesson, we offer an invitation for anyone to come forward if they would like to be baptized into Christ, or if they need prayers from the members for a difficulty they’re going through in their lives, or if they have a public sin that they wish to repent of and ask for prayers and forgiveness. Visitors should never feel pressured or expected to come forward – we’re happy to talk to you after worship about any questions or needs you might have!
After the invitation, we’ll have a closing prayer, and we’re dismissed. After the service, you’re welcome to stay around and chat, so we can get to know you better. If you have any questions while you’re here about anything you hear, or anything we do, please feel free to ask. We’re glad to open a Bible and show why we teach and practice what we do.
Evening worship services
Our evening services are slightly different. In place of the Lord’s Supper, we have a time for scripture reading, during which one of the members reads aloud that day’s selection from our daily Bible reading program.
Bible classes
We hold Bible studies each Sunday morning, beginning at 9:30 a.m., breaking off into classes for adults, teens, and smaller children.
